Sisters and Brothers,

This is the third birthday of the 10,000 Soul project. The first birthday was sometime in 2012 and about 800 paintings were painted. The second birthday was after the project rested for a year and started up again in September 2015. About 50 paintings were painted that month.

The third birthday was the day before I was scheduled to have my unexpected surgery. I painted in the hospital while waiting for the operation. I’ll share details of the operation when more important, when it connects to the healing our soul nations will find.

Post Script: By the way, my painting in the hospital was something new. In between tests and scans, blood out and drippy and other things in, I painted. I was strangely at peace and didn’t think about the operation. When they came to wheel me into the OR I ended talking with the words, my chariot awaits. In truth, I would have pushed the gurney bed myself, they were going too slow. This anticipation may sound odd, I’m sure it does. The happiest months of my life were about to begin.
