Dear Sisters and Brothers,
I’ve been learning more about the lost world of the Middle East and North African Jews.
I painted yesterday listening to Mizrahi musicians, Jews and Arabs. I have for several days. The music has a non-western melody and rhythm. I wish I knew it better. My atoms deserve to vibrate differently these days and each soul probably has an ear that remembers music from another time and would laugh with joy and cry (with joy) to hear us singing together, again.
