Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Look at the metal work.  Their culture is brilliant. 

Yemeni-Jewish Silversmiths

Of the 1,400 or so paintings to date at least a couple, maybe dozens were painted of these incredible artists. I do think about their lives and culture and know they are close by. 

The Jewish homeland in Yemen is a memory. It is empty of the Jewish people who lived there.  A people who spoke to King David as a friend no longer live there. In Yemen today our neighbor’s souls are undoubtedly in torment, how could they not be. They speak to us every day.

I believe they too hear the echo from the thunder and voices of neighboring Sinai – that would be magnificent. Yes, Sinai, the standing room only, “Let My People Go So They May Serve Me”, larger then Woodstock, BIG event.

When the time comes to celebrate and we can all hear the music, we’ll dance together in Jerusalem. Esther and I would love to ask our Yemenite artists (Jewish and Arab) to fashion new, beautiful clothes for everyone.
