Hello Brothers and Sisters,
Four men staring intensely at me. I wonder what is up.
I’m feeling good. I met with an interesting man today, a teacher and a rabbi at a university. The last time we had met was many years ago. He had lent me a book and I went to return it. He remembered me and shared that he had thought of me three months ago. As we talked, it came out that his soul went to visit mine at exactly the time the bright lights and coldness of the surgery room were on me. At that moment I certainly had need for company. Our souls met.
He inquired why I was hesitant about talking about souls. I had danced around this subject. We are spiritual and physical beings, we have souls, he replied.

Ours souls meeting is not speculation. Please consider it a fact. The chances of something like this happening randomly being something like ten million to one. I had met him once fifteen years ago and then he thinks of me all these years later and at the exact time my soul was feeling free and my physical body was otherwise engaged, sleeping soundly in the O.R.. They had a good chat I imagine, probably ancient friends. When I recovered I went to visit him (of course having no idea that he had thought of me). What compelled me? I said I would walk if a ride wasn’t available that day (seven miles).
It is dizzying to realize how much more solid the soul world is then our earth. This happening does give me more thoughts about the souls I am painting. Who are they? I have loved them from the first day and I believe it is a shared love and growing. To experience the everyday miracles we live with, well, I’m in awe.
Brothers and sisters, let’s talk. If not directly together then let’s listen to our souls. They are undoubtedly chatting now, perhaps enjoying a warm and rich glass of Middle-Eastern (spiritual) coffee, a burbling hooka and Mizrahi music discussing our future. They have a plan.
