Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Bon Appetit is the French welcome to the tasty meal. I want a similar word to invite people to jump into the eyes of the soul portraits. “Enjoy” is the one word I have for now…what would be better? The word is not saying enough.
When we look at a painting we want to be moved, stirred, educated and have our art-belly filled with the beauty of something. That is all good and…
…wrong. At least for us. Our ten-thousand souls are living in a different universe. The paintings are…well, they are to wake the soul, get us standing, to have us hear what we hear (but often don’t listen to). Maybe the invite should be: “Awake”.
“Enjoy and Awake” or “Awake and Enjoy”.
I’ll try this a few times.
