Brothers and Sisters,
My son has a wonderful, friendly, crooked tail beagle-mutt and tells me about the dogs proverbial powerful nose. Dogs can smell tens of thousand times better then us…so what does their world look like? Its difficult to imagine.
A dog can smell time – scientifically proven. Sounds wonderful but is actually doable and (appears as) instant magic. A dog can find something buried 20 feet underwater too. Come on…
What a supremely different and wide-awake, neon smelling world our dogs see with their noses. Our canine buds can detect smells in parts per trillion…if you taste one teaspoon of sugar in today’s morning Joe (one cup) a dog would do the same when added to a couple of olympic pools of water. Imagine what they can sense that we don’t even know about*.
So why am I a dog? What does this have to do with healing? I can’t smell any better. However, some people think that I live beyond science. They don’t embrace the reality beyond their senses.
So I think of dogs. Dogs also live beyond the everyday. In some areas their reality is more acute and actual than ours. We just don’t see it.
To my friends, family, brothers and sisters – healing (and forgiveness and joy) are in reach. Things are happening. YES. Even the unbelievable is the real world.
It’s a dog’s world.
