Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Daniel is back home with the family. Day 4 after the ICU, having trouble sleeping. Possessed by a beautiful need my beloved husband continues painting, the soul portraits keep coming.
I am writing now, weeks later. So much is happening and we’ll have a lot to share with you. After I photographed the soul portraits and was uploading them, a book from my parents arrived in the mail, the first page a poem my mother had written many years ago for her children.
Her wish for us was that we would recognize our fellow humans as brothers and sisters in soul. By truly, actually looking into people’s eyes it isn’t very hard to see our soul brothers and sisters, even in strangers or supposed ‘foes’.
Through the soul portrait’s eyes Daniel painted I recognize our togetherness in time, of all human beings.
Let’s celebrate each other! It’s a wonderful world.
